Duchenghuang Temple of Xi'an

Xiao Nu er (youngest daughter) and I took a little excursion to the Duchenghuang Temple of Xi'an. It was built in 1387 AD by Emperor Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty. The original temple was destroyed by fire in 1723 and was restored right after using original wood from the Palace of Qinwang.
The temple consists of: a memorial archway, front gate, Wenchang pavilion, drum and bell towers, official gate, theater, main hall and living quarters. This makes this temple complex the largest in the Shaanxi region.
Leading up to the temple was a small street market that sold gloves, little framed paper cut souvenirs, sewing supplies, gardening supplies, incense and bracelets.
